If you were curious about what happened to Riddick between the last entry in the series and the upcoming third installment, you can find out with the new motion comic series called Blindsided.
The comic features Vin Diesel as the voice of Riddick.
Blindsided also offers potentially meta-commentary on the previous direction of the Riddick franchise, from the R-rated Pitch Black to the animated made-for-DVD Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury: “Somewhere along the way I lost a step,” Riddick complains. “Got sloppy, dulled my own edge — Maybe I went and did the worst crime of all: I got civilized. So now, we zero the clock. Gotta find that animal side again.”
A five minute trailer for the comic has been released.

I love motion comics. They remind me of the cutscenes from Thief.
Ah, nostalgia.
