Two former Bond writers have stepped up to help the proposed Barbarella TV series become reality.
According to Deadline, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade have been hired to write the new series. The duo’s best known for scripting five films in the James Bond franchise, including The World’s Not Enough, Casino Royale and Skyfall.
Barbarella will be directed by Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive), who’ll also executive-produce. At the moment, there’s no word on what network will air the series. The show will pull more from the comic than the movie version.
We haven’t heard any word yet on casting for the potential series.
