Despite no preview screenings, the long delayed Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters opened in the top spot at the box office this weekend. The Jeremy Renner starring film took in $19 million on its opening weekend.
In second place was the horror thriller Mama with $12.8 million. It was the second week of release for the lower budget horror flick.
Third place went to Silver Linings Playbook with $10 million and the Oscar-nominated Zero Dark Thirty took in $9.8 million.
The other new entry to the top five was Parker. The film took in $7 million.
Final figures are due out Monday.
