More J.J. Abrams Goodness

Following along closely on the heels of the Fringe finale, FOX is reported to have given a pilot order on a new Sci-Fi drama.

The pilot, for the currently untitled show, will be penned and executive produced by Fringe’s J.H. Wyman with J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk as executive producers. The show will be “an action-packed buddy cop show, set in the near future, when all LAPD officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids.”

In other news, NBC has now green-lighted Believe; a show about a girl in possession of a great unrealized powers and the man who is sprung from prison to protect her. Abrams will be working on this project with filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón attached as director, the pilot was written by Cuarón and Mark Friedman.

Both of these productions from Warner Bros TV and Bad Robot are just on top of today’s confirmation that Abrams has signed on to direct Star Wars: Episode VII
