Merlin Wins Over The Doctor and Sherlock

At the UK National TV Awards last night, everyone expected the battle for Best Actor to be between Matt Smith (Doctor Who) and Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) — but the British fans had someone different in mind.

The award, voted on by UK fans, named Merlin lead actor Colin Morgan the winner.

Merlin is currently airing its final season on Syfy, and is continuing to enjoy the series’ best ratings ever on the network.

    He deserves it. I’m an avid Dr Who fan, but that finale was supurb.
