Wiseman Could Direct Another Reboot

Director Len Wiseman is becoming the go-to director for reboots.

This summer he directed the reboot of Total Recall and now he’s in talks to direct a reboot of The Mummy.

The project is in development at Universal with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci producing the reboot along with Sean Daniels and Jim Jacks.

The franchise began in the 30′s with the original Boris Karloff version and was famous rebooted in the 90s with Brandon Frasier in the lead role. The franchise saw solid success over four installments.

It’s now apparently ready for a reboot.

  1. The first Mummy film isn’t even that old yet. I don’t know about some people, but I’d hardley call “thirteen years” an old film. They should at least wait twenty years before considering a remake, or at least of a film that doesn’t seem to have anything wrong with it yet.

  2. Rats. By the title I was hoping for a Reboot reboot.
