“Revolution” Starts Strong

NBC’s Revolution is an early success based on the overnight numbers for the premiere episode.

The series debuted with 11.7 million viewers and a 4.1 rating in the adults 18-to-49 demographic on Monday. It’s the biggest debut of a drama on NBC since 2007 and one of the top non-preview drama debut of a series since ABC’s V according to TV Guide.

Before you start celebrating too much, that high rated debut on NBC was The Bionic Woman and we all recall how quickly that show tanked.

Hopefully Revolution proves to have a better on-screen and ratings run that that show did.

The series also faces more solid competition this week with the return of several series on ABC and CBS.

  1. Actually I was pleasantly surprised…in a sea of the teen melodramas that are running on television these days I was expecting the same after seeing that the main character was a teen-age girl but thanks to Abrams it had the same ensemble feel that Lost did. Hope the show lasts.

  2. It would do better showing at 9pm rather than 10pm. Maybe NBC is in wait and see mode.
