Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles producer Josh Friedman is teaming up with Homeland‘s Howard Gordon for a new science-fiction project focusing on robots.
The project is being developed for NBC, Deadline reports. The series takes place in a world much like ours, where human-looking robots are commonplace. After a routine homicide explodes into the first robot-on-human murder, the lead detective must solve the case and investigate a growing robot rebellion while dealing with the impact on his own fractured family.
Friedman will write the script with Gordon supervising.
Loved TSCC…still wish we had gotten something more past the ending but it’s now just another one of the many shows I loved that don’t have an ending because they got cancelled. This one sounds a little like a mix between I-Robot and something somewhere in between Caprica and BSG. I’ll be sure to check it out once it hits the airwaves.
