Marvel Studios is currently looking for a sidekick for Captain America in the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
But it won’t be Bucky Dent.
Marvel is reportedly in talks with Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter star Anthony Mackie to play the Falcon.
Falcon is one of the first African-American heroes to appear in a mainstream comic. The character debuted in Captain America #117, and was created by Stan Lee and Gene Colan. His civilian name is Sam Wilson, and he grew up in Harlem. Falcon has served as Cap’s sidekick on more than one occasion.

Bucky Dent? Wasn’t he a baseball player? I’m pretty sure it was Bucky Barnes.
You are correct! Additionally, Captain America’s sidekick originally had the name ‘James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes’, and he was named after star player “Bucky” Pierson on writer Joe Simon’s high school basketball team.
YES!! I’ve been wanting to see the Falcon in films forever! He’s been one of my favs since childhood!
that doesn’t meann that Bucky (Dent…heh) won’t be in the film, just not as the sidekick…especially if they are going with the Winter Soldier storyline, then we already know who the villain is!
If they keep The Falcon’s uniform closer to the Ultimate Universe Falcon’s gear, then his costume could look really look cool.
