Pixar Extends Winning Streak

Pixar’s stream of opening at the top of the box-office continued this weekend as the latest animated effort, Brave opened at number one, taking in $66.7 million, according to studio estimates from tracking firm Hollywood.com.

Animation dominated the top two slots at the box-office with Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted taking the number two spot with $20.2 million.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter took in $16.5 million and third place.

Rounding out the top five were the Alien prequel Prometheus with $10 million, followed by another fairy tale, Snow White & The Huntsman, which took No. 5 with $8 million.

    Wait a minute, how did that Lincoln film get third place. Everyone has been saying it’s bad and even I don’t want to watch it with a title like that. I guess it shows that it’s not what’s in the film, but who made it. Who did make it anyway?
