Director James Camreon says that he’s only interested in making sequels to Avatar from this point forward in his movie-making career.
“Last year I basically completely disbanded my production company’s development arm. So I’m not interested in developing anything. I’m in the Avatar business. Period. That’s it. I’m making Avatar 2, ‘Avatar 3, maybe Avatar 4, and I’m not going to produce other people’s movies for them. I’m not interested in taking scripts. And that all sounds I suppose a little bit restricted, but the point is I think within the Avatar landscape I can say everything I need to say that I think needs to be said, in terms of the state of the world and what I think we need to be doing about it. And doing it in an entertaining way,” he tells Coming Soon.
Cameron adds that he still plans to explore the Earth’s last frontier, the oceans.
“”I’ve divided my time over the last 16 years over deep ocean exploration andfilmmaking. I’ve made two movies in 16 years, and I’ve done eight expeditions,” he says.

James Cameron can do what ever he likes. It’s a bit disappointing though. And to the next person complaining about sequels to Avatar just think how disappointing it would be if there had only been one issues of superman, or batman or spider man etc. Or if your favorite author had quit just after that first novel.

Good for him and I hope he is happy but it is too bad, this means I will never see a JC film again. Then again people are always changin their mind an this may just be another stunt of his.

This is going to turn out like the Matrix.
Ben Ragunton says
I think Cameron has become a loon…
He is indeed free to make whatever movies he likes, just as I am free to withhold my hard earned money from seeing any of the garbage he puts out there.
