When the Doctor arrives on the Enterprise later this year, expect not only the dual threat of the Borg and the Cybermen by lots of cameos by familiar faces.
“It was definitely discussed,” revealed Denton Tipton, one of the editors of IDW Publishing, in an interview with ScienceFiction.com. “So you have to check it out and see if he [Q] makes an appearance, but there will be lots of little cameos that everyone will enjoy. We got lots of little easter eggs for everyone on both sides.”
Lots of little cameos and easter eggs for both Star Trek AND Doctor Who fans sounds like a smart plan made in geek heaven to us!
The upcoming series will run eight issues so there’s plenty of time for a cameo or two. It’s even been hinted that Q might pop up.
Speaking for myself (Hickerson), I’m rooting for the Daleks to turn up or the Roger Delgado version of the Master.

This is why you should stop by Slice of SciFi six times a day! For news and information like this!

Methinks some critical information is missing from the article … like what FORMAT is this? It does not appear to be film or TV. From the word “issues” it appears that it will be a comic?
Sam Sloan says
This is a follow-up to an earlier story done by Slice in which it was shown to be a graphic novel. Also, the IDW Publishing mentioned in this piece should have been a dead giveaway.
Nihon Joe says
True, but it’s good reporting to explain the who, what, why, where, when, and how of any topic, or to state you don’t know if you don’t know. It should have been clearly mentioned in the article which format this was in.
That said, this is certainly fun news. 🙂
Jose Olivera says
I assume that this is going to be a graphic novel. Would be fun to see the Cybermen try to “upgrade” the Borg.
