Comcast is looking to get into the streaming content business.
The cable company will launch XFinity Streampix later this year. The new subscription service will run customers $4.99 more a month and allow them to instantly view favorite movies and TV shows in and out of the home, including numerous past seasons of current hit shows and full series, to multiple screens and devices including TVs (as a subscription On Demand folder), online platforms and mobile devices.”
Included in the initial offerings are full runs of tv shows like Lost, 30 Rock and The Office as well as movie like Brokeback Mountain, Analyze That and The Big Lebowski.
