Summit Pictures has tapped Moira Buffini to adapt Erin Morgenstern’s The Night Circus for the silver screen.
The novel follows two young magicians battling it out of their fathers’ long time rivallry.
Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group published the novel, which has been on the New York Times’ bestseller list since October 2011. David Heyman and Jeff Clifford will produce the film via the Heyday Films banner. Richard Pine will executive produce.
Buffini has previously penned scripts for Jane Eyre and Tamara Drewe.

I’ve read the book and it was just okay. It’s more like a Harry Potter wanna be but not as good by any means. However, that being said, I am curious what it would look like visually on screen. Maybe better than the book but I hope the storyline will prove to go at a faster pace. In my humble opinion. 😉
