Guillermo del Toro will direct the upcoming remake of Beauty and the Beast. The new screen adaptation will be based on the French fairy tale and be a live action film.
It’s also reported that Harry Potter actress Emma Watson will take the lead role as Belle in the film.
Variety reports that del Toro will also produce and write a period treatment based on the classic 18th-century French love story,
