As we patiently wait for April 1 to arrive and the debut of Game of Thrones second season, actor Peter Dinklage has dropped a few hints about what we can expect for Tyrion in season two.
“He falls in love, which is lovely and a bit more complicated from the philanderer that wandered around season one creating chaos,” he says. “He’s grown up a bit, so it’s nice. Season two sticks pretty closely to book two but rumor has it book three is so big, we might break it up a bit. But that’s just hearsay.”
Dinklage goes on to say that season two will offer just as many, if not more, twists than season one did.
“You never know what’s going to happen,” he says. “I mean, we killed the protagonist [in season one], and I think that’s a really smart narrative. Writing has gotten so formulaic in television. You got to push the envelope and challenge people’s expectations, and I think we do that. You never know what’s around the corner. In Season 2, we’re not done killing off people, and it’s amazing the characters we choose.”
