"Fly" Sequel Exterminated

The proposed sequel to David Cronenberg’s The Fly has been officially exterminated.

Cronenberg wanted to do a sequel and wrote a script for the project.   But he says 20th Century Fox isn’t interested and the project is officially dead.

The famed director did not elaborate on why Fox passed on his script. Cronenberg has also not gone into detail about the approach he would have taken with a new Fly, except to say that it was more of a sequel and less of a remake.
