Michael C. Hall will play Dexter on the Showtime series for two more seasons, reports Deadline.
The actor and Showtime reached a deal after lengthy negotiations that will keep the show on the air for seasons seven and eight.
Dexter producer David Nevens says those two season are “likely” the final two for the serial killer drama.
Each season will consist of 12 episodes, with production on Season 7 slated to begin next year in Los Angeles.
