With the lead in Akira finally cast, the production is looking to add some other actors.
According to MTV News, the production is pursuing actor Gary Oldman to play the Colonel and Kiera Knightly to play Lady Miyako.
The film is also to cast the pivotal role of Tetsuo. The Hollywood Reporter identifies Ezra Miller and Alden Ehrenreich as the names popping up most frequently in connection to Tetsuo, the telekinetic teen who becomes the driving force of much of the action in the story.
