The ratings have been anything but scary for American Horror Story. In fact, they’ve been so good that FX has given the series a green light for a second season.
The second season will run 13 episodes and air sometime next year.
American Horror Storyhas grown in the ratings during its first four outings in the coveted audience of adults 18-49. And when it comes to Live+7, the first two weeks have averaged 4.2 million total viewers, 2.9 million adults 18-49, and 1.7 million adults 18-34.
The series still has nine episodes to air this season, and is set to finish out its first season with the final two episodes airing on Dec. 21.

Finally a network that knows a hit when they see it. This show is great - scary and WEIRD, but I love it.
Terrible series that rips off way too many rehashed horror concepts. Dropped it after ep 2. No longer interested.

My wife and I have been watching this from the beginning. Neither of us can say we love it, but it's so outrageous and over the top that we can't NOT watch it.
