Fans of the comedy series Arrested Development were pleased this week when the long-rumored movie finally got a green-light. But with news that the cast and creative team are reuniting for a new film came the news of a new, fourth season of the critically lauded but ratings-deprived television series.
Now it appears that fourth season of the show has set off a bit of a bidding war in Hollywood. Cable outlet Showtime as well as digital content providers Netflix and Hulu are reportedly interested in running the 10-episode season that will lead up to the new feature film.
The series won an Emmy in its first season on FOX and was critically lauded. It ran for three years on FOX before its cancellation. The series has found new life via DVD and streaming services.
