Director Nicolas Winding Refn says he’s been a huge fan of Logan’s Run since the original version hit theaters in the 1970′s.
“I’ve always been obsessed with the movie ever since I was young,” Refn told Digital Spy. “When it came about as an opportunity, I thought if I was going to make a studio movie, that would be it. I like the original but I think you can also steal too many things. I read the novel, which is terrific, and I felt – like Drive – that I just try to go back more to the source material.”
The updated version of the film has been in development for several years and has had multiple high-profile directors attached to it. should Refn be the one who guides it to the silver screen, he hopes it will be a spring board to direct a new Wonder Woman movie.
