Watched the encore Saturday and I give it a B…it was alright…not as good as Children of the Earth or the series but it was decent. Wasn’t really much of an explanation about the blessing or at least one that was a good explanation.
Saw the thing with Rex coming from a mile away…he was as good as dead all through the series and Esther dies and not him…you had to know it had something to do with Jack and his immortality…not saying I liked it…means that Jack is no longer unique and truthfully if someone was going to live I would have preferred Esther…I find Rex boring and annoying…makes me long for the good old days with Owen and Ianto.

Agree. Would have much preferred Esther living. Was initially thinking maybe she’s not dead but is “killed” to let her join Torchwood. With Rex maybe immortal, that doesn’t play. And why is he immortal? All through the season, Jack says it is not his blood that makes him immortal. Now one transfusion and there you go? Sign me up.

I would have given it a C if it went for the last 30seconds with The resurrection of Rex, epic fail. The whole thing with Jacks blood didn’t make any sence and was weak as a plot solution. It’s been made very clear (even within this season) that’s jacks immortality (if that’s even the right word, he does die….he is just always dragged back to life), it has nothing to do with his blood! That they feed it through the blessing should have had no effect in the first place, let alone have the reversal effect be imprinted over another being. And I can settle with poor plot lines and bad logic, but the F is given cause now the torchwood universe has two ‘fix point’ characters, me thinks this will prove tedious.
