Barker Not Happy With "Hellraiser" Sequel

Writer Clive Barker isn’t a fan of the new Hellraiser project.  Set to hit theaters in limited release on September 2, Hellraiser: Revelations was reportedly rushed into production by Dimension to prevent losing the rights to the franchise.

Barker saw a preview for the new film and fired off some comments via Twitter.  Barker says that the film may claim it drew inspiration from the original film and his works, but that is not the case.  Saying the film is “no child of mine,” Barker went on to Tweet “If they claims it’s from the mind of Clive Baker, it’s a lie. “  He then went on to say that the film didn’t even come from another orifice.

You can check out the trailer below and decide if you want to see the film or not.  But if you do, just know Clive Barker won’t be joining you.

Wow - looks like it was shot on a cell phone camera by a bunch of middle school kids! Then they cut some scenes from the original movies and edited them in. Poor, just poor!

If I was Barker, I'd be pissed too! Maybe he should open the box and then toss it into the offices of Dimension films!
