Rise of the Planet of the Apes held off solid competition from The Help to continue to rule the box office this weekend. Rise took in $27.5 million compared to $25.5 million for The Help.
In third was the fifth Final Destination movie with $18.5 million. Fourth place went to The Smurfs and fifth went to new opener 30 Minutes Or Less.
