Sounds like HBO is willing to make a long term commitment to Game of Thrones.
At the annual TCA press tour, programming president Michael Lombardo said “I hope it lasts for 20 years. I promise you we won’t stop it before it’s ready to stop. … There’s a great relationship fans have with the show, and we appreciate that.”
Sounds like the network is willing to go as far as George R.R. Martin’s epic fantasy saga will take them.
“We told [author George R.R. Martin] we’d go as long as he keeps writing,” said HBO co-president Richard Plepler.
The second season is currently in production and will air early next year.
