While it looks like the big-screen reboot of Scanners won’t happen any time soon, we can tell you that a TV series based on the horror movie is in the works.
Director Alexandre Aja is reportedly working on the project, under a mandate from Dimension Films to develop the movie into a series. Rene Malo, Clark Peterson and Pierre David were attached to the movie reboot and are reportedly also involved in the TV show.
No word yet on whether Aja might direct the pilot for the show.
