Last week, we told you that director Joe Johnson is interested in doing a sequel to The Rocketeer.
Now comes word that’s not the only character with a jet pack that Johnson would like to direct in a new installment. Blastr reports that Johnson is interested in directing a movie centering on Boba Fett.
Before you dismiss the idea as a flight of fancy, you may want to know that Johnson worked with Lucas as an art director on The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and Raiders of the Lost Ark. So, he’s got a friendship with Lucas and that might make George a bit more open to the film.
“I’m trying to get George to make a feature based on Boba Fett,” he tells Screen Rant.
When asked if he would direct the film Johnston said simply, “I would like to, it would be a lot of fun.”

As long as George Lucas doesn’t direct and that spineless weasel Rick Mccallum isn’t the executive producer it could be interesting.
