As if Comic Con needed any more hype, it’s probably going to get some.
Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg is planning to be there. Spielberg will be promoting the upcoming movie The Adventures of Tintin. According to the Los Angeles Times, the director will have new footage from the movie.
The 64-year-old filmmaker will receive an Inkpot Award, which has been presented since 1974 to signature figures in comics and genre entertainment, among them Ray Bradbury, Jack Kirby, Hayao Miyazaki and R. Crumb.
The panel featuring Spielberg will take place in Hall H on July 22.
