Godzilla is getting another reboot.
Dark Knight writer David Goyer has been hired to pen the script for the upcoming Godzilla reboot, according to Deadline. Goyer wrote the script for the upcoming Man of Steel as well as contributing to the scripts for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
According to Deadline, Legendary intends to approach the Godzilla mythology in “the most authentic manner possible.”

Unless Toho is intimately involved I'm skeptical. IMNSHO, they need to make it fit with "Godzilla 2000" and "Godzilla vs Destroyah." They should also license the song from BÖC. If there was a way to get Megumi Odaka involved I'd be first in line.

What does he mean when he says "authentic?" Authentic to science and make Godzilla a dinosaur, or authentic to the Japanese mythos surrounding Godzilla and just make him the classic movie monster that we all love?
