Despite not making it onto the fall schedule, the pilot episode of Locke and Key will be shown at the upcoming ComicCon.
Creator Joe Hill revealed that the series pilot will be shown during a Friday panel on July 22. The horror adaptation will screen during the IDW’s panel at the expo.
Locke & Key is based on the acclaimed comic by Hill and artist Gabriel Rodriguez. The story follows a family who move into a strange mansion that serves as a gateway to numerous other worlds.
Miranda Otto stars as Nina Locke with Jesse McCartney, Sarah Bolger and Skylar Gaertner as her children. Nick Stahl portrays Nina’s brother-in-law, Duncan.
The pilot episode was said to have received a favorable reception, though Fox opted to pass on the series because it didn’t fit in with its schedule. The studio later confirmed that the show’s sets are to be dismantled.
