With Darren Aronofsky leaving production of The Wolverine, the search has been on to find a new director for the movie.
20th Century Fox believes that Knight and Day director James Mangold could be their choice to take over the directing reigns.
Mangold has been approached by the studio to direct the film and is reportedly star Hugh Jackman’s choice to direct the latest X-Men installment.
The list also included Fast and Furious 5 director Justin Lin and The Bourne Identity‘s Doug Liman.

Was pulling for Doug Liman as I like the Bourne material most, but Knight and Day Director Mangold had some good action sequences and kept the pace of the film moving pretty good, so maybe not too bad of a choice, eh?
