Actor Shia LaBeouf says he knows why Megan Fox left the Transformers franchise.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, LeBeouf says that Fox was never comfortable with director Michael Bay’s take on sexuality.
“Megan developed this Spice Girl strength, this woman-empowerment [stuff] that made her feel awkward about her involvement with Michael, who some people think is a very lascivious filmmaker, the way he films women,” LaBeouf tells the paper. “Mike films women in a way that appeals to a 16-year-old sexuality. It’s summer. It’s Michael’s style. And I think [Fox] never got comfortable with it. This is a girl who was taken from complete obscurity and placed in a sex-driven role in front of the whole world and told she was the sexiest woman in America. And she had a hard time accepting it. When Mike would ask her to do specific things, there was no time for fluffy talk. We’re on the run. And the one thing Mike lacks is tact. There’s no time for, ‘I would like you to just arch your back 70 degrees.’”
However, LeBeouf says that new co-star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is more comfortable with it.
“Rosie comes with this Victoria’s Secret background, and she’s comfortable with it, so she can get down with Mike’s way of working and it makes the whole set vibe very different,” LaBeouf said.
Really? REALLY? Don't care.
I say good for her.
After that I don't care.
I really didn't expect that to be the reason...surprising.
1) Hot chicks sell movies.
2) I don't really give a hoot.
Transformers movies are like popcorn. Tasty but not filling.
I thought she also called Michael Bay a tyrant on set.
This just lowers my respect for her even more (which I didn't think was possible). She does know why she got hired in the first place, right? I can think of two reasons. Well, maybe three. And acting isn't one of them.
Michael Bay trying to appease to immature 16 year old boys? Shocking, lol. I say good for her, and my respect for Bay has gone even lower (didn't even know that was possible).
Okay, let's review. Megan Fox once claimed in an interview that she had a lesbian affair with a stripper, appeared (almost) naked in "Jennifer's Body" where she played a teenage demon who devours guys after sex, and has appeared in a bra and panties on virtually every magazine on the shelves. And she found Michael Bay too sexist. I'm not sure if that says something about Michael Bay or Megan Fox...but it says something.
As long as it's "robot on robot porn," I'm good to go!!!
