Fox Interested in "Carrie" Role

A couple of days ago, we told you about writer Stephen King’s reaction to a proposed reboot of his first novel, Carrie.

King said he didn’t see the need for it because he thought the first film was perfectly fine.

I wonder how he’ll react when he hears news that actress Megan Fox might be interested in taking on the lead role in the film.

Showbiz Spy reports that Fox is a “huge fan” of the original film (I’m guessing she’s not read the book…) and that she’d love a chance to play the title character in the reboot.    According to reports, she wants to get away from her Transformers image and she thinks this is the project that could do it.  She has told her people to “make it happen.”

We’re guessing Fox has forgotten how her last couple of attempts to distance herself from Michael Bay and shape changing robots were met with critical disdain and an apathetic box-office.

Of course, this is just a rumor at this stage, but that loud smacking sound you hear from Maine is probably King’s hand hitting his forehead.

More like his head hitting a hard wood table. I hope to all that's holy this does not happen.

Megan Fox!!??!?!? I thought Carrie was a rather plain girl who was underdeveloped and was constantly teased by the other kids? Are they going to use duct tape on Megan and "ugly her up" like Charlize Theron in "Monster"?
