If you thought that the lack of news on a Highlander reboot maybe someone in Hollywood had woken up and decided it was a bad idea, you’d be wrong.
Director Justin Lin, who worked on Fast Five and is attached to Terminator 5, says the reboot is still happening and that it’s high on his priority list.
“I’ve been working with [Iron Man writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway] on the script. That’s one where Summit has been really good [about letting it develop], and for me, it’s about making sure that we can take it to the place where I feel comfortable and great about making it. I feel like I have a very good studio and team and we’re working on it,” he tells MTV News.
But when might we see the film? It could be a bit because Lin is in high demand these days with the success of Fast Five.
“I have different projects at different stages. You work on so many projects all at once, and at some point, you have to make the call. I feel like right now, Highlander is in pretty good shape, but I still have to see all the other things come together for us to go make it,” he says.

And yet, it'll still be better than The Source.
Yes... but it must include pro-wrestling.
Syfy studies show it gets more butts in seats.
No, it has to be a reality show with pro-wrestling very prominently in it.
Otherwise SyFy won't touch it with a pole.
So this will be a movie about real-life pro-wrestlers cutting each others heads off before a tv-camera. Your basic snuff movie I'd say.
Hey, the original had pro-wrestling. Admittedly, it was a montage during the opening, but it was still there.
Why is this happening? After that god awful movie and that stupid short with Peter, Elizabeth, and Jim (So bad that it's not even mentioned on IMDB by the way)would Davis-Panzer spend anmore money on Highlander. Why not help to keep Stargate going instead.
