As with every other season of Chuck, the season finale will wrap up most of the on-going plotlines from the current season while leaving things open for another season if NBC chooses to give the show one.
That’s what actor Zachary Levi tells TV Line.
“You’re going to see the whole team collaborating and working together to make things right and have some closure about certain things that are really big, but also leave the potential for it to be continued later,” he says.
Actress Yvonne Strahovski says the ending of the season is a good stopping point for the show if it doesn’t come back next year.
“It’s a good ending, but it also serves as a good beginning if we do get a fifth [season]. I feel like every [Chuck finale] has had to be that because we never know, so the writers always plan for both,” she says.

The best writers of any “not sure we are coming back” show ever.

I just have a feeling Chuck won’t survive this “Will they, won’t they” decision by NBC. You can only dodge the bullets so long and the ratings have been really bad–even by NBC and Chuck standards. I will miss it if it goes and will hope for the best. I think the best decision NBC came make would be to bring it back for a fifth season so it gets 100 episodes for syndication and make it the last season so they can have a real finale to it.

With so many shows having gone the 13 episode season route, does the 100 episodes to get to syndication mark even apply anymore?

I hate to say it but Chuck has gone downhill. The writing is just not has edgy and it is more of a comic book (not grpahic novel) feel to it. The fun side plots are gone too (what is Sara’s cover job now? – Morgan is dating?). The whole Volkof plot line is exceedingly odd. On this path next season they will bring out the FemBots.
