A couple of weeks ago, we told you that several of the Whedonverse shows were headed off Netflix’s popular streaming service. Today we have the good news that thanks to a new deal between 20th Century Fox and the rental giant, Buffy, Angel and Firefly are once again streaming via Netflix.
It’s part of a new deal that allows the streaming of a variety of 20th Century Fox shows. Beyond the Whedon-verse shows, fans can watch all nine season of The X-Files on streaming (which is good since BBC America has only purchased two seasons of the show for it’s afternoon repeats). There are also a variety of other shows coming on-line as well for fans to catch up on and enjoy.
This comes on the heels of news that a new deal between Paramount/CBS and Netflix is opening the vaults for some classic shows to hit the streaming service. We’ve heard that Star Trek is coming to streaming, but it’s not available as of this report. Looking around, fans can stream seasons of the classic Twilight Zone via the service as well as the original Mission: Impossible.
