It looks like Viggo Mortensen could be in the running to play Zod in the upcomig Superman reboot.
Last week, we reported that Mortensen passed on the role because he was in conversations to join Snow White and the Huntsman. The shooting schedule for Snow White would have prevented Mortensen from working on Man of Steel.
Over the weekend, MTV reports that Mortensen has withdrawn from the Snow White project. That could leave him free to take on Zod.
According to the report, conversations about the project between Mortensen and Universal broke down over the weekend, leading to Mortensen leaving the project. The part of the huntsman is said to now be “wide open”.
Kristen Stewart is set to play Snow White in the film.
Viggo would make a perfect Zod.
