This is the show where our loyal, adoring, and inquisitive fans and listeners get to hear us comment on their comments about our stories and comments… it’s the Circle of Entertainment Life!
We do want to hear your comments and feedback… No, really, we do! Pay no attention to how much Mike grumbles about them — you know, that guy sitting in the dark corner with all of the blinky lights, the knobs and the scotch.
This week, Mike, Brian, Sam, Bret and Tim respond to your questions and comments, and remember, there could be SPOILERS at any moment!

Listening to the Voicemail show for this week, and I have to take issue with comparing Charlie Sheen to what is going on in Japan. For goodness sake I don’t get offended that easily, but I got offended there. You’re right, it was too soon, but you should know a whole lot better than that. What is going on in Japan is sad, people are dying there and the damage is astronomical and you guys go ahead and say “Charlie Sheen’s meltdown is bigger than that of Japan?” What the hell?
I like the show and I will continue listening, but for the love of god there are things you shouldn’t touch, and Japan was one of those things.

Well, I’m glad You played Gary’s voice mail regarding how people can donate. I still think the joke earlier in the show was in poor taste, but at least you did get serious about it later in the show. I thank you for that.

So when is it OK to make jokes related to disasters? 1 month? 6 months? 1 year?
First, the joke wasn’t about Japan or the Japanese people. It was about Charlie Sheen. Secondly, there hasn’t actually been a meltdown in Japan.
There’s nothing wrong with a little levity in the face of adversity. We love to see it in movies and TV. Why can’t we accept it in real life?
Greg M - Bay Area says
Well, not a week after the Disaster happened and is STILL happening. Also, there is a big difference between what we see on TV and what we see in Real life.

On a different subject, I too was in the Curtain St. George camp.
In my defense, unlike Kevinbach Elder, Kurt tends to run his name together. Listening to him say his name while driving made the mistake almost unavoidable.
