Marvel Talking to Shane Black About "Iron Man 3"

With Jon Favreau leaving the Iron Man franchise, Marvel Studios is looking for a director for the third installment.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Marvel is interested in director Shane Black to take over the superhero series.

The writer/director reportedly impressed Marvel executives at a meeting this week to discuss the project. He’s in the running for the directing job and could also work on the script for the next installment.

The next “Iron Man” movie is due in theaters in 2013.

    I'm good with this. If it can't be Favreau, Black is great choice. Just look at what he did with Downey on Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang. As it was aptly put, there isn't a line in that movie that couldn't be made into at-shirt.
