What is it with “Mad Men” actors being linked to roles in DC Universe projects?
First it was the John Hamm as Superman rumors. Now it’s Christina Hendricks as the lead role in the upcoming “Wonder Woman” series.
NBC signed off on the series last week and the rumor began to float that Hendricks, best known for her role on “Mad Men” and for a recurring role on “Firefly,” was the leading candidate for the part.
If so, it’s news to the actress. When asked about the part at last night’s Screen Actors Guide awards, she replied, “No one has talked to me.”
When asked how the rumors might have started, the actress joked, “”I think it was some kid n his basement saying, Christina Hendricks should be Wonder Woman.”
I would watch that!!!
she can tie me up and make me tell her the truth any time.
Much as I love Christina, I can't really see her as Wonder Woman. (Plus, I still want to see her as Joan Holloway Harris.)
