I know he's something like 27, but in this, he actually looks like a teenager, which is what Spidey starts as. Tobey looked closer to his own age, rather than Spidey's, in his first SM movie.
I'm not sure yet if that's a good thing or bad thing. It will depend on his acting ability. I haven't seen him in anything yet ... Can he pull it off, besides just having the "typical teenager" look?
As far as I'm concerned, Garfield was the star of Social Network. He was frakkin' brilliant.
I think what bothers me most about the Maguire trilogy and apparently this new one is that the Spidey suit doesn't look homemade anymore. Spider-man was a hero on a budget. He couldn't get skin-tight hand tailored clothing.
Of course, that's just a nit-pick, but still, doesn't feel right...
