The seventh episode of the upcoming sixth series of “Doctor Who” will be a special one for the long-running sci-fi series.
According to producer Steven Moffat, the episode will be not only the seventh of the season, but the 777th episode the series has filmed.
Moffat posted the news yesterday via Twitter.
Of course, fans will have to wait a bit of time to see the 777th episode. Series six will air in two blocks–six episodes in the spring, seven in the fall.
It was also announced this week that the new story from writer Mark Gattiss has been moved back from the first block to the second. The move has been done to create a better balance to the season says Moffat.

Would be cool if the show could air on 7/7 at 0707.

Nice idea, but Sept. 7th is a Wednesday.
Dr Who generally airs on Saturdays (except Christmas eps, of course)

@Michael: 7/7 is July 7th, not September. But that’s a Thursday, so your main point stands.
