Actress Lena Headey, best known to genre fans for her work as Sarah Connor on “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” has been cast as a villianess in the upcoming “Judge Dredd” reboot.
Headey will play Madeline ‘Ma-Ma’ Madrigal in the upcoming movie, which will star Karl Urban in the title role.
The 2000 AD law enforcer character, created by John Wagner, Carlos Ezquerra and Pat Mills, first appeared in a 1977 science fiction anthology and was played by Sylvester Stallone in a 1995 movie adaptation.
The new movie is expected to begin production soon.
Headey can also be seen in the upcoming HBO series “A Game of Thrones.
