Hulu Plus Rolls Out

Hulu Plus is coming out of beta and is ready to take on Netflix.

The streaming service, which offers a library of current and classic television series as well as movies, is looking to compete with Netflix for streaming video dominance. Initially the service was announced with a $10 a month price tag, but as it debuts the price is lower--$7.99 a month.

Arquette Says "Medium" Canceled

Actress Patricia Arquette says that "Medium" has been canceled by CBS. She broke the news to EW, saying that the show's season order reduction from 22 to 13 episodes was a sign that the show might be on its last legs with CBS.

"We got canceled," she says.

"Doctor Who," "Torchwood" Crossovers Could Still Happen

With "Torchwood" being partially funded by Starz next season and moving out of its Cardiff home, you may think that could be the end for crossovers of that series with "Doctor Who."

But that isn't the case says Russell T. Davies. Davies says he keeps in contact with new "Who" producer Steven Moffat to make sure the shared universe of both shows are on track and could possibly feature a crossover should the story arise.

"Dead" Ratings Rise

Just like the zombies featured on the show, "The Walking Dead" appears to show no signs of stopping.

The cable series saw a rise in ratings for its third episode Sunday evening. The show brought in 5.1 million viewers with 3.3 million adults in the 18-49 demographic.

NBC Announces Winter Schedule

NBC's announced its winter schedule yesterday. And there were some interesting moves.

"Chuck" is staying put in its Mondays at 8 p.m EST slot while "The Event" will debut the second half of it season in February. New series "The Cape" will debut in January and take over the time slot after "Chuck" for its run.

1000 "Harry Potter" Shows Already Sold Out

MovieTickets reports that 1000 showings of the first half of the final installment of the film have already sold out. And that tickets to other weekend screenings are rapidly selling out as well. The site reports that ticket sales for "Deathly Hallows" account for 92% of all sales on the site right now.

Space Probe Returns Asteroid Dust

A Japanese space probe has returned to Earth with some of the first collected sampels of dust from an asteroid, according to Reuters.

In an official statement, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) said that electron microscope observations and analysis of the samples confirmed that material contained in one of two compartments of the Hayabusa spacecraft "were identified as rocky particles… most of them were judged to be of extraterrestrial origin, and definitely from Asteroid Itokawa."
