And while you might expect that from us based on previous reports and shows, you may not have expected director James Cameron to agree.

Cameron says that studios' rush to up-convert movies to 3-D is a "mistake."

Being Human: The Complete Second Series -- A Slice of SciFi DVD & Blu-Ray Review

beinghumanseries2

As I said in my review of the complete first series of the BBC's Being Human, on the surface the premise behind this show sounds a bit like the start of a joke.

"A werewolf, a vampire and a ghost all share a house together."

And while you might expect wacky hi-jinks to ensue, that isn't the case with Being Human. If the end of series one left you hanging, curious as to what was going to happen next, the good news is that series two starts with a bang and never looks back.

Editorial: Emilio Weighs in on Avatar

“A landmark technical achievement”, “A stunning visual experience”, “A wonder to behold”.

These have been used to describe BBC’s Planet Earth. Add floating rocks, shiny stuff, evil humans, naive indigenous population, a selfish planet, and you have the makings for Avatar. All that is left is to take a cliché plot, rev it over the top while keeping it at a Fifth Grade level of comprehension, stir it all up with some 3-D, bake for 10 years, and you end up with the highest grossing movie of all time.

You would have thought I would have learned my lesson with Titanic.
