For a while it seemed like every it actress in Hollywood was on the list for a role in the upcoming “The Dark Knight Rises.”
Director Christopher Nolan has narrowed down the list to a half-dozen actresses. According to Deadline, the six actresses are up for two roles in the upcoming Batman sequel.
The short list of actresses allegedly in contention are Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightley.
According to Deadline, Nolan is looking for an actress to play a love interest for Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne, and another to portray a villain.
Nolan is keeping all the details about the roles under lock and key, similar to the way in which Tom Hardy’s casting was announced.
