MySpace Reboots

myspaceTechnically it qualifies as a bit of reboot rage.  But then again, when was the last time anyone logged into their MySpace account?

The social network, once one of the most popular sites on the Internet, is looking to become relevant again.  And in order to do that, they’re doing a bit of rebranding and rebooting.

Myspace revealed its new look earlier this week. The site has a new design, a new homepage, and a new focus as an entertainment portal. The site even has a new name (sort of). It’s calling itself my[____] now and they’ve dropped that pesky capital letter for the word space.

The site is looking to market itself more to tweens.

If you can recall your log-in, you can check out the new look at Myspace.

If they really want to market themselves to the tween set, they need to partner with Disney Channel.

My kids are in their early teens and still use the site quite frequently. Of course, they also use Facebook as well, but it seems to be an either/or.
