Actress Jennifer Lawrence is taking over the role of Mystique from Rebecca Romaine in the upcoming “X-Men: First Class.”
But fans expecting to recognize one of the most distinctive characters from the first three “X-Men” films may be in for a surprise. Lawrence says that she’ll only appear in the distinctive blue-hue of Mystique for about ten percent of the film.
And it’s likely we won’t see how she’ll appear on-screen until we head to theaters. Lawrence says the look of the younger Mystique is being kept under wraps and will likely not be revealed until the film begins showing in theaters.
The actress added that it takes six hours to transform herself into the physically jarring Mystique, a process that she refers to as “Mystink.”
