Looks like “The Event” will get the chance to continue teasing us with what exactly the event is. Well, at least for nine more episodes.
NBC picked up the freshman series for a full season, 22 episode order yesterday. The series was one of three new comers for the network to get an order for nine additional episodes.
Also included were “Outsources” and “Law and Order: Los Angeles”
The network may still be considering giving a back nine order to “Chuck” reports the Hollywood Reporter. The series has seen little dip in the ratings this year and may be cost effective show for NBC. The series is produced on a smaller budget than last year and has received very little promotion since the season premiere. But despite that, the show still retains a solid audience and reportedly does well in DVR viewing.
And EW’s Michael Ausiello reports that the spy dramedy is close to a full season pick-up. Ausiello says that conversations between Warner Brothers and NBC are going well and we could get an announcement soon about a full 22-episode season for “Chuck.” NBC declined comment.
No word yet on if or how the full season order might impact the current story arc about Chuck’s mom.

Good. It's not great, but it's entertaining.
Not great? I think it IS great. It's certainly the best new offering this season, which surprised me, because I was expecting it to just be a more run-of-the-mill conspiracy thriller, a la "24", minus the clock of course. But I've been pleasantly surprised and now I can't wait to see each new episode.
I hope this series lasts a while.
